About the project
Volvo Trucks offers its customers maintenance contracts for their trucks, sold through its dealer network. Together with BA Marketing, we developed a web application to manage those contracts end to end: from the sale to tracking each unit and handling claims while the contract is active. The system also covers Renault Trucks units.
The app has two entry points. Dealers register each contract with the customer, the chassis and the plan type, and complete it with the data that defines how the truck is used: application, load combination, transport and route type, road condition, maximum load, fuel consumption, and start and end mileage. From their panel they also file claims and follow them by status until they are booked, with a download for each document.
Sales reps have their own panel with the contracts, Volvo Connect and telematics information, and calculation tools for quoting. The day's exchange rate is set in the system, so every amount uses the same value.
The app launched in June 2020.
